Data categorization is important in digital marketing for small businesses in order to be effective, efficient, and satisfactory in article campaigns and advertising campaigns.

There are two types of digital marketing campaigns for small businesses: article campaigns (content campaigns), and advertising campaigns.

Article campaigns and advertising campaigns need data categorization in order to have effective, efficient, and satisfactory results and metrics.

Small businesses need to categorized and sub-categorized their brands, products, services, and customer needs. These categorizations and sub-categorizations will be used to perform the key phrase and key words analysis (KA) required to design the titles and topics for the article marketing campaign, and to design the Google Ads search ads.

 

Data categorization in advertising campaigns

Small businesses need to categorized and sub-categorized their audiences and contents. These categorizations and sub-categorizations will be used to perform the advertising campaigns segmentation and targeting.

For business to consumer businesses, categorization must include geographic locations, age, gender, interests, topics, words, and websites.

For business to business businesses, categorization must include geographic location, company name, company industry, company size, job title, job function, job seniority.
